Well, being in a reading mood, I went and visited a couple other places where this was posted, thinking I may get to see a good discussion/debate or two with very backed up, intelligent, well thought out and articulated responses.
Then I visited here.
Needless to say, I am now in a ranting mood.
You know what? Here I was thinking that God is the omniescent being of ultimate love who promoted love and not hate, peace and not war, acceptance and not bigotry. Oh, excuse me. Apparently I was wrong. I guess if you're part of a church you're not allowed to have your own opinion unless it's the collective opinion.
What the fuck do you call excommunicating someone from your own church just because they have ONE ideal different from what you think is right? A person who is Pro-Choice thinks they're right just as much as any person who is Pro-Life.
Alright, this is sounding *pretty* uppity right about now... So listen... I am Pro-Choice and you know what? The thing that disturbs me about the above link is not so much the fact that so many people there oppose my personal views/choices, but the fact that most of the people there have absolutely no respect anyone who thinks differently from them. Now, I KNOW the rules of that board, but it's total censorship. The moderator there reminds me of Nazis. The Catholic Church couldn't ask for a better propaganda machine.

And how the HELL would they know whether this was true or not? For all we know this could be propagandist bullshit from the church. I mean, I saw a skillfully orchestrated piece of work based on a sequel to Final Fantasy 7, and it looked quite legit.. you can write anything on the web and make it look real.. Who knows, that could have been completely misenterpreted.
IMHO, that doesn't even look like a 9 year old girl!! Even pregnant I don't think a 9 year old would look like that. What kind of bullshit is that? It's like they're trying to con you into thinking that every rape victim has a happy comfortable life after they have a child from being impregnated by their rapist. This says nothing about the women who can't stand to look their child in the face because it looks so much like the man who raped them or the families that were broken up because the woman was 'ruined' by the rape. Let's not forget that she's NINE YEARS OLD and HARDLY old enough to take care of a child at that age. I'm 19 years old and I probably couldn't live by *myself*!!
A *very* rough translation says the kid was repeatedly abused before becoming pregnant at the age of 8. Eight years old... does anyone see anything wrong with this? Think of an 8 year old... It's crazy enough that an 8 year old even HAS her period for one thing, and for another... do you know any 8 year old capable of making that type of life altering decision? Most 8 year olds I know can't even dress themselves without screwing up!! And she wants to STAY with the man accused of assaulting her? Oh that's great... She's *really* in charge of her own life, I'm sure.
So this moderator uses this article to convince people that abortion isn't alright. How nice. Use the poor used and abused little 9 year old to further your Catholic ideals about abortion and how it's utterly wrong. That's just as bad as the people who whore out little kids on the street. How about at least discussing people who have a semblance of control over their lives so they can explain their reasons for doing what they do? As opposed to the little Spanish girl who can't speak English. Cuz I'm sure she knows exactly what she's doing.
And this just makes me angry. Even IF the baby had managed to mature to full term and you got the DNA samples, what are the chances you'd even find the perpitrator? DNA samples don't just fall out of the sky. Why not expend your time and effort making sure the poor child isn't mentally scarred for life?
What are these people ON?? No mention of being disgusted at the priest or the archdiocese, just pissed off that the two diocese are suing one another? Like it's terrible that they would go against eachother for such a thing or something... It's like, GASP they are fighting one another when we should all live together in PEACE and HARMONY..... and oh yeah, that guy raped some little kid, but no biggie. *rolls eyes* WTF??

They're all against abortion, but apparently incest is also wrong. So if she had the baby and it was indeed her father's, wouldn't that be equally as bad? Hmm. So what do you choose? Well, apparently ALL the people who thought the 9 year old girl who got raped should get an abortion just wanted to do it so that they could protect forementioned rapist, yeah that was EXACTLY their plan!!
Could some people consider that MAYBE, just maybe.. they were interested in the mental well being of this poor rape victim? How would you feel if you got raped and then you were forced to have a baby you never wanted (let me stress she was NINE YEARS OLD) and you were forced to look into the face of your rapist every day thereafter? Howwould you feel if you unintentionally started hating your flesh and blood for the acts commited by the father? I mean, how FUCKED UP would that kids life be?
And you know what? People will probably chew me out for saying I'm Pro-Choice, like I'm interesting in killing little children or something. But you know what? I agree with McKinnon on this one, "BEFORE this a baby is a fetus, a non sentient barely alive creature. It is little more then an unhatched egg." So to all you people who like your eggs scrambled in the morning... YOU MURDERERS!! How could you kill that innocent baby chicken!! Every life is precious and you've just destroyed one of God's creations, you bastards!!!

My point being:
I'm Pro-Choice, and by that I mean it's NONE OF OUR DAMN BUSINESS WHAT WOMEN DO WITH THEIR *OWN* BODIES AND THEIR OWN LIVES!!!! No megalomaniacal conglomerative of old men in big hats has absolutely ANY right whatsoever to choose for these women so they should just keep the FUCK out of it. Don't go spouting any bullshit to me about whether or not it's against God or Jesus or something. I DON'T CARE what your religion is, believe in whatever the hell you want, I'm not judging you for it. I even respect your religion. I AM AGNOSTIC. God DOES NOT play a big part for me in this whole debate, and quite frankly, it's up to the individual whether or not God has any part of her personal choice in this matter.
Not YOUR God.
HER God.
It's a personal moral decision, and these women have to live with the consequences of their choices.
